this is a Lego model inspired on the mechanical calculator called Pascaline, invented by Blaise Pascal in 1642. It's my third model and you can search on this channel for the previous two this version has 6 digits, all base-ten, and can add terms until 999,999. It can only performs addition or, in other words, make a carry the main difference from the previous two is the key-driven mechanism, with four positions for units, tens, hundreds and thousands. Its capacity is 4x0x6 (4 keys, 0 counter digits and 6 digit wheels) I made the following operations: 999,999 + 1 = 000,000 (clearing) 5,372 + 6,148 = 11,520 11,520 + 9,510 = 21,030 the input of the historical Pascaline allowed the user to dial the numbers, much like rotary dial phones, with good speed but I haven't managed to reproduce this. In my first model one had the aid of visual marking on paper, in the second, only by the turning of the digit wheels now with the keys, inputting can be made in a controlled manner, although slower (and tediously) than the real Pascaline the final part of the video shows the disassembling of the model for inspection and possible reproduction for those interested. this model will be joined with a special module for faster operation, to be shown in my next video, Pascaline #04
