2025 WINDY CITY ALPHORN WORKSHOP
The 4th Annual Windy City Alphorn Workshop took place May 14-17, 2025! Rehearsals and classes were held at Lake Forest College on Chicago’s north shore. This year’s faculty includes Dr. Natalie Grana, Tony Brazelton, Laura Nelson, Shawn Hagen, and Robert Brazelton.
Standard registration is $375 and the cost to rent an alphorn is $25 for the duration of the workshop. Discounted student registration (elementary – post graduate) is $275 and includes free alphorn rental. Alphorns, mouthpieces, music, and other accessories were available for sale throughout the event.
The group performed three times during the workshop. Each concert was a combination of mass ensemble, chamber group, and solo performances.
