I'm not going to lie: this is hard stuff. I once went to an ACI conference and attended a session where professors from across the country discussed teaching structural concrete. A famous professor said that teaching about bar cutoffs was the most difficult topic in the class and I agree. To make this (hopefully) easier for you, I have come up with something I call H.E.L.P. This stands fore:
Have extra bars? (sort of like "Got milk?")
