Welcome to our module, "From Classical to Quantum Light".
In this module, you will learn the classical wave equation, the basics of Fourier analysis, and Maxwell's equations governing electromagnetic radiation. We will see how these topics lead us to single photons via the photoelectric effect and other phenomena, as part of our journey in studying quantum communications and the design of a Quantum Internet.
