In this video I share what I think is the number one iPhone accessibility feature. This helped me learn how to continue using my phone after my vision loss. This is the accessibility shortcut. Question What other iPhone accessibility features do you have questions about? Details At the time of recording this video I was running IOS 14.3. You may be running a newer or older software version on your iPhone, but these settings should be quite similar. Instructions from this video: 1 Turning on the accessibility shortcut 1.1 Tell Siri (activate Siri by holding your power button or home button if your phone still has one) "open accessibility settings" 1.2 Scroll to the very bottom and select "Accessibility Shortcut" 1.3 To activate this feature there is no on/off button, just by selecting a feature it will be activated. 1.4 The accessibility shortcut is activated by quickly triple clicking the power button, or the home button if your phone still has one. 2 Selecting your Accessibility Feature 2.1 I primarily use Voiceover on my phone, but when I need to zoom in, I want to be able to quickly turn off Voiceover. For that reason I have Voiceover selected for the accessibility shortcut. 2.2 You can select multiple features by just tapping multiple ones and then when you activate the accessibility shortcut, you will first have to choose which feature you want to be activated from a pop up at the bottom of your screen. 2.3 I personally don't use this feature as I don't have a huge need, plus it just takes extra time for me to triple click and then select which feature I want and it can get a bit confusing. 2.4 This does work great for users that need quick access to multiple accessibility features. 3 Accessibility Shortcut Recommendations 3.1 If you primarily use the zoom feature to use your iPhone, you can have it be the magnifier so that you can quickly pull it up when you need to zoom in on something with the camera. 3.2 If you mostly use zoom but are needing to learn Voiceover, have it be Voiceover so that you can turn it on quickly when you need to listen to something and you can slowly start learning it and turn it off and on when comfortable. 3.3 Even if you just use Voiceover, having it be voiceover is super powerful so that when Voiceover glitches, you need to give your phone to someone else to use, you can easily turn it off.
