In a world full of distractions, it's easy to drift away from God without even realizing it. Just like friendships fade when we don't stay intentional, our relationship with God requires purposeful effort. Drifting happens gradually when we stop spending time with Him and inviting Him into our daily lives. We must test everything against Scripture and ask whether it builds up our faith or diminishes it. True godliness comes not from working harder, but from spending time with God and letting His presence change how we see everything. Rather than compartmentalizing Jesus into one slice of our day, He should be the foundation that influences everything we do.
