It’s football season! Here at Country Needleworks, one of the football teams that gets attention is our Detroit Lions! We are dedicated fans even with our knitting. UpNorthYarns, a Michigan yarn dyer, has the perfect color combinations of our Lions’ colors called Detroit. We carry in our store the worsted, dk and fingering weight. We show hats for adults and toddlers, a headband, fingerless mitts and even a scarf all made from the worsted weight yarn. Each skein of Superwash worsted has 218 yards, 75% merino wool and 25% nylon. The socks are made from the UpNorthYarns fingering weight which we have in a regular base and also with the silver stellina strand woven through. Shown are some other sock yarn colors that could be substituted. We also have three colors of our Plymouth Encore that were used for the striped hat that Sue is wearing called the One Day Hat. This yarn has 75% acrylic, 25% wool and 218 yards, being completely machine washable and dryable.
