This season in Utah has definitely kept us on our toes. Even when storms roll in, they’ve brought a little warmth with them. The snow level even climbed to around 9,000 feet yesterday before dropping back down to mid-canyon overnight. Not ideal, but we’ll take the improvement. That said, the early morning skiing turned out to be surprisingly fun. Lone Pine was the standout, and Keyhole skied better than expected. There’s still plenty of ice lurking underneath, and some of the heavier snow slid around on top of it, but if you picked your lines wisely, you could find some enjoyable turns. Down low, things got a bit heavier, yet it was still manageable and fun. All things considered, it was another solid day at Alta Ski Area, making the most of what this season has delivered and finding the fun where you can.
