Dane County Crime provides publicly available recordings of Initial Appearance hearings from the Dane County Circuit Court. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. 00:00 - MARIAH LYNN WOELKE 02:44 - TRENT HAAK 08:42 - AARON PAUL BENAVIDES 11:44 - ISAIAH AARON ABERNATHY-DUEWEL 17:20 - STEVE DARNELL EMMONS (See incident report below) 22:08 - LARRY JAMES MILLER (charges: 2 counts of 1st Deg Sexual Assault of a Child, Contempt of Court Pun Sanction, Battery with a 973.055 (domestic) enhancer. MILLER is already a sex offender and on the registry, he was found guilty in 2008 for Failing to Update Registry and as part of his plea they dropped the repeater modifier. In 2006 he was found guilty for Failing to Update Registry. In 1997 he accepted a plea deal where he pled guilty to 3rd degree sexual assault and in return the state dismissed 2 counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child with a Habitual Offender modifier. He has Paternity Cases from 1997, 2003, 2005, 2008 - there may be a few more than this, but I couldn’t verify for certain that the other cases belonged to him. He has tax warrants that are outstanding for a combined total that is greater than $20,000. He has been involved in so many violent crimes, both domestic and not (including armed robbery). INCIDENT REPORT FOR KAINE R.T RUFUS AND CASSANDRA DALBY Incident Details: 2025-499504 A Madison Police Officer was monitoring an occupied vehicle in a motel parking lot in the 4800 block of Hayes Rd. After some time, the officer contacts the vehicle and begins to speak with the occupant. During their conversation, the vehicle occupant provides a false name to the officer and is arrested for Obstructing. During the search, police locate a small amount of heroin. Officers then locate the other vehicle occupant who went to his room. While speaking with him, officers learn he has two warrants for his arrest. Madison Police arrested Cassandra Dalby for Obstruction, Possession of Heroin and a Parole Violation. Kaine Rufus was arrested for two outstanding warrants. INCIDENT REPORT FOR STEVE DARNELL EMMONS Incident Details: 2025-499047 Madison Police were called to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Calypso Rd regarding a Weapons Offense. Police learn that one male was having a loud conversation in the apartment hallway which resulted in his neighbor asking him to quiet down. This led to the suspect asking the caller to step out of their apartment. When the caller stepped out, they saw the suspect pointing a firearm at the caller. Police were able to safely order the suspect out of his apartment and upon searching the apartment, locate a loaded firearm. While in contact with the suspect, officers see that he is showing signs of intoxication. The suspect, Steve Emmons was arrested for Going Armed While Intoxicated, Disorderly Conduct While Armed, 2nd Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, and Obstruction.
