Some autistic people present as if they are experiencing attachment disorder (i.e. not having formed a secure, stable bond with their parents).
While this may in some cases be so, it would be wrong to automatically link such a presentation to negative parenting.
Rather, it may be that the autistic child was unable to process their parents’ loving approaches.
