The engine is now put back together. I spent hours and hours cleaning parts. You will see the before picture of all the dirt that was on this engine. Inside, it was a lot cleaner than I expected. The rods were loose but the mains were in really good condition. The piston pin bushings were all badly worn so, I had the sort through my old pistons and found a set of good ones. The cylinders were in good condition. I used farely new transmission parts that I had onhand and rebuilt the transmission. It got new bands and discs. I went to install it into the chassis but found that here wasn't a u-joint in the driveshaft. I'm now rebuilding the coil box, generator and starter. Hope to have it running soon.
