In this video, I make a 1940s bra using a pattern I took from an original bra in my collection. I show you the techniques typically used to construct a bra from this era and go through how fabric choices will change the shape and look of the bra.

For making this bra you'll need to print out and cut the pattern pieces, no taping sheets of paper together is required.
supplies:
1/2 yards woven sturdy fabric preferably in a natural fiber
3 yards bias binding
6-10 inches (or to underbust measurement) 3 1/4 inch wide elastic
hook and eye tape or premade bra closure
optional bra strap adjuster hardware
