The Toronto Optimists Drum & Bugle Corps was established in 1958 with roots back to 1952. Finishing 16th at DCI prelims in 1975, and after 18 years of competition and 12 National titles, the Toronto Optimists folded. In January of 1976, they merged with the Seneca Princemen to form a new powerhouse corps, the Seneca Optimists.
