2. Day

The 2nd day of the competition took place in the mountains. The climb to the 1st checkpoint over 750 meters of altitude left many paths open, because there was only one road or offroad. The flight back to the starting point was 7,2km over a turnpoint could be glided off. Then the big tactical question was whether to go up to checkpoint 3 or fly. Tanguy, Aaron and Thomas decided to walk, I took off with confidence to cover the 800 meters of altitude faster with thermals. It was one of the most exciting races for me, as we climbed as slowly as the others walked a few meters next to us on the mountain. In the end, Thomas and Aaron were a few minutes ahead of us at the top and deservedly won the 2nd day as well! Third was Sepp Inniger, who also flew high!
