Installing d3kOS Image — Step‑by‑Step Guide Join Skipper Don and his buddy D3kOS as they walk you through installing the d3kOS image from your computer onto a 128‑gig SD card. You’ll learn exactly what you need — two SD cards, one for backup and one for writing the image — and how to prepare them using the Raspberry Pi Imager. Start by inserting your SD card into the adapter your PC or laptop uses. Then head to myboat.com, select d3kOS, and download the latest image. You’ll be directed to GitHub, where you’ll grab both the manual and the source code as a ZIP file. Once downloaded, install the Raspberry Pi Imager and open it. Choose your Pi model — Skipper Don uses a Raspberry Pi 4 — then scroll down to Use Custom, select the d3kOS ZIP file, and press Next. With your SD card inserted, highlight it, press Next, and then Write. When the process finishes, click Finish and remove the card. You’re now ready to install the hardware and bring your marine computer to life. That’s it — simple, fast, and ready for adventure.
