2007 Silverado Knock Sensor Code Returns After Replacement - Part I
A few weeks ago we looked at this customer’s 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic that was fighting persistent rich codes. After some unsuccessful parts swapping, he brought it to us and we performed an alcohol content reset to get the fuel trims back under control. At the same time, the truck also had a knock sensor code, which is a very common issue on these GM trucks. The customer then took the truck to another shop to have the knock sensors and harness replaced. They reported everything was corroded and full of water, which is no surprise. The real surprise is that the check engine light came back on with the exact same knock sensor code. In this video, we dig into what’s actually causing the problem and why replacing parts didn’t fix it. -Enjoy!
