2016 TIMPANI Toy Study
The Center for Early Childhood Education at Eastern Connecticut State University is pleased to announce the results of its 2016 TIMPANI Toy Study. Play influences nearly everything that’s important in child development, and toys have great influence on the quality of children’s play. But toys are rarely studied. So every year, our center conducts the TIMPANI Toy Study in order to investigate how different toys affect play quality in natural preschool settings. 0:37 - 2016 TIMPANI Toy Study Results 2:03 - Category #1: Verbalization 3:50 - Category #2: Thinking & Learning 5:56 - Category #3: Creativity & Imagination 8:14 - Category #4: Social Interaction 10:52 - 2016 TIMPANI Toy 12:59 - Implications for Preschool Classrooms Read more about the study at https://www.easternct.edu/center-for-early-childhood-education/timpani/index.html.
