2020 Colt Python: 850 Round Review
TLDR: I like the revolver a lot, although it wasn’t without minor deficiencies. My ~75 day and ~850 round tabletop review of the new 2020 Colt Python. I bought this brand new in box from a local gun store in mid-October 2021. I address the few deficiencies/problems as it came which have mostly either been easy to correct or have resolved on their own. The rear side plate screw was loose as others have reported, although it caused me no functional problems. The rear sight windage lock screw was loose and did allow some walking of the rear sight until it was tightened. There is a very small blemish on the cylinder, which doesn’t bother me. The single action trigger has broken in acceptably with just some consistent use and helped further by a little grease. This is a totally independent review and I have received no compensation or subsidy of any kind in this assessment. The opinions and findings are my own. The revolver is my own. The ammunition shot through it is my own. The iPhone it’s filmed on is my own.
