2026 Spring FOOD PLOT Updates! Corn/Soybean Soil prep | Clover & Chicory plot maintenance!

GO TIME for spring food plots! This can include corn food plots, soybean food plots, and clover/chicory food plots as well as other seed blend varieties! Join us for today's field episode as we get a complete update on our (Our Missouri Farm and Pro Staffer Phil's Missouri farm) food plot preparations, soil preparations, ongoing food plot maintenance and more in today's episode. First we'll divy up our custom Eagle blend mix of corn and soybeans for each of our farms and go over our soil preparation plans and actions as we have settled on a teanacious Old School tillage plan instead of trying to do the No Till option here in the Missouri Ozarks. And the reason is pretty simple, too many rocks! We have so many rocks in the dirt here that they can easily devour a No Till planter and break parts and bend cutters and discs in the blink of an eye. Ask us how we know! So with that in mind we are both using old school tillage methods for our food plots for deer and turkey. Also into today's episode I will be using an agricultural drone sprayer to do a burn down of my corn and soybean food plot mix. For this we will be spraying Glyphosate, 2-4-D and a pre emergent for the corn and soybean food plot mix. Then I will be doing spring food plot maintenance of my fall food plots that I also planted clover and chicory in the mix. So for the spring I will be spraying clethodim on them to knock back the grasses and odd broadleafs but the the clover and chicory should benefit from this application.
