2.08 - Non Persistent & Persistent HTTP Connection - Part II
"This video describes about HTTP connection types. Describe about Non-persistent & Persistent Connection. Explain about how its works? " "Two type of HTTP connection: 1) Non Persistent connection: - A non-persistent connection is closed after the server sends the requested object to the client. - The connection is used exactly for one request and one response. - For downloading multiple objects it required multiple connections. 2) Persistent Connection: - Firstly, Each of new connections established, TCP buffers allocated and TCP variables must kept in both client and server side. - This can a significant burden on web server, which may be increase in case of serving hundred of different clients requests simultaneously. - Server leaves the TCP connection open after sending responses.
