This flipped class video introduces the notion of partial derivatives. We start with a review of secant lines and tangent lines from calculus one, and then use this to motivate partial derivatives geometrically. We then calculate examples of partial derivatives before defining second partial derivatives. This video is meant to be watched before a full lecture on partial derivatives.
