With enough separation between the glider that just landed and the one above me getting ready to land, I decided to experiment with a wide arc over the houses. This is closer to a "constant aspect approach" than the traditional "downwind, base, and final" used at this site. I'm looking at an imaginary final glide path from the edge of the grass to a point in the air and using a wide turn to keep my visual angle to that point more or less constant. The result was an easy approach with decent accuracy that seems easy to adjust for different air.
