3D Graphics Part 2 - Multi-Lighting Shaders
(I accept donations now, go to https://boosty.to/yurikompany to support me with funds, while it is still available in my country) #3d #programming #videogames Some problems were solved from the previous version ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlmZhMNmsls ) for this 3D demo, but it still lacks of many features. For now, it is multi-lighting shaders with several options, with many object instances and colours, and with many light sources as well. Each block is highlighted, just like in Minecraft, which makes a cool gradient effect. In addition, each light source may have different force of light projection, and also visual colour which may differ from the colour of projected light. However, this is pretty much simple shader, and I want to improve it, for example, what if light mirrors from the surface into viewer? Adding perspective view and textures would be interesting idea too. And there are still some other problems as well, when you create and attach custom blocks which are different from the already existing 3D-forms. I should really encrypt and compile everything before releasing it to the public. However, that may be not soon. But yet, this is enjoyable result of almost three months work. In some cases, FPS goes much above the 120, for me, as an enthusiast, it is a great achievement. I limited FPS to 60, because there is no need forcing everything to 144 which my gaming PC can of course support, and I see almost no difference between 60 and 120. Anyway, enjoy the short and nice retro 3D demoscene with my music in it (from the game cancelled by some other dev)! :D
