In this video, we'll show you how to upload 3D models in Sensmap 3D. Required components: RTLS Studio v1.4 or later See more: http://www.sewio.net Transcript: Hi, in this tutorial we are going to show you how to work with 3D models in our RTLS. Let's connect to RTLS Studio and open Sensmap 3D Visualisation. We may hide the anchors to make the visualisation clearer. Models might be imported via corresponding button in Models tab. The only supported 3D model format right now is dot OBJ. Let's import an arrow to make the IMU tags rotations visible. Notification tells us the model was uploaded successfully and our menu was updated. Our arrow model is just little too big. Let's fix that by clicking on edit button. The corner of the plan, where the model appeared, is the origini point of the model's geometry. Moving it somewhere else might offset all incoming tracking positions. Please keep that in mind. There are three edit operations possible. Rotate for changing model's orientation, translate for moving model around, and scale for changing size of the model. To apply changes click on the save button. Next step is to assign our model to the tag we want. This could be done through the Nodes tab and coresponding tag folder. To speed up finding tag just type a part of it's alias or address. Let's select the uploaded arrow model in a tag's model dropdown. Models doesn't need to be assigned to tags, they might as well be assigned to plans. Let's quickly import another model with walls, or anything we would like to highlight in our showroom. We should also edit the model so it's alligned with our plan. This editation might be done in a few iterations. Don't be afraid to experiment with model editing. You can always delete it and do it from the beginning. After our model is correctly aligned we can save it and assign it to the plan. If your tags are not pointing in the right direction you can change the offset of the model's rotation in the Sensor settings. That's all for model manipulation. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
