4-2-2. Cartesian to Geodetic Coordinates, Iterative Method

Converting Cartesian coordinates to geodetic coordinates is more complex than conversions within a spherical coordinate system due to the ellipsoidal geometry of the Earth. The curvature of meridians is not constant and varies with geodetic latitude, as does the geodetic height. In this video lecture, the iterative method for converting Cartesian coordinates to geodetic coordinates is explained.
