Woke up this morning, same old routine, Got my coffee in hand but it feels obscene, Mirror on the wall, it don’t reflect me, Just a ghost of a man, where’s the vibe that I used to see? Staring out the window, world’s a heavy weight, City screams hustle, but my heart can’t relate, Trapped in the grind, every tick of the clock, Sweat on my brow while the dreams get locked. I’m lost in the shadows, can’t find my light, Society’s pressure squeezing me tight, Every day’s a struggle, every night’s a fight, Just a soul in the dark searching for flight. Scrolling through the news, man, what I see? War and massacres, is this what we’ll be? People livin’ hollow, under false pretense, Got my hands up high, man, I’m tired of this stress. Punchin’ in numbers like I’m trapped in a cage, Dreams fading fast, turnin' over a page, Boss yelling loud while I drown in despair, Got the weight of the world, like nobody cares. I’m lost in the shadows, can’t find my light, Society’s pressure squeezing me tight, Every day’s a struggle, every night’s a fight, Just a soul in the dark searching for flight. But deep in my chest, there's a flicker, a flame, A voice whispers softly, “You ain’t just a name.” Gotta break these chains, gotta stand up and roar, Life’s too short to keep begging for more. Pack my bags, yeah, I’m ready to go, Leave behind this madness, let my spirit flow, No more waking up to the same old pain, I’m outta here, breaking free from the chain. I’m lost in the shadows, but now I’m taking flight, Gonna rise from the ashes, into the daylight, Every day’s a challenge, but I’ll stand and fight, No more living low; now I’m reaching new heights.
