4 Triads With Solfege and Notation
I've recorded me singing and signing all four triads (major, minor, diminished and augmented) as well as included notation example (in C major) with scale degree numbers and alterations. It should be noted that in the numerical figuring of the triads, the use of sharp and flat symbols does not always mean that this translates to a sharp and flat being used in the notation. Instead, think of this as explaining how the major triad (and scale degree) is altered. E.G. Augmented = 1 3 #5. This should be interpreted as the major chord, with a raised 5th degree. It's important that we think of it like this to keep enharmonic spelling consistent. If you have any questions, leave a comment. Do you want me to put up a video of something else? Just ask and I'll try make it happen. I'm intending to do videos for 6th and 7th chords too, so subscribe and stay tuned. N.B. I am singing an octave lower than written for the pedantic among you. ;-)
