This storm has been nothing short of epic. So much so that I claimed today to be epic in the lift line before our first run. When it dumps a couple feet and it’s still somewhere between nuking and puking, and then the High Traverse unexpectedly opens, it’s safe to make that claim prematurely.
The snow was deep and at times the visibility was rough. But we found some clear windows especially in Eagle’s Nest. Lone Pine skied super smooth too. Then at 230 the High T closed, we missed it by 30 seconds but it was okay because even Fred’s Trees was skiing awesome.
The road was a bit sketchy but we made it down safe. Tomorrow will be epic, mark my words.
