A short video description of the Fred Picker designed camera. Later versions were made in Japan, this model was made in the US and is a later (US) version at that. (The early versions made here did not have the back standard bale). I did not show all the features on this camera--the brass is gold plated, the back standard has rise, there is an interchaingable bag bellows (comfortable for a 90mm lens with slight movement) which interchanges without too much trouble. Also, the standard bellows gets slightly over 20+ inches of play. Overall highly sturdy; with very little play when all is sinched down (unlike, say, a Wisner Expedition or an old Korona). There are plenty of movements for virtually any type of photography without the camera being heavy or folding up into something fairly large (I guess that's all relative--but you know what I mean). The adjustment knobs are in logical (and traditional) places and are large enough to easily access for such a compact design. Also, it is lightweight compaired to some other cameras in this format--but again, sits sturdy. In my book, very highest recommendations along with a baby 4x5 Deardorff (Deardorff always trumps ANY camera, anywhere, anytime--but pretty rare and more expensive than this Zone VI in a 4x5 format). ( I will say, I am bias in that I prefer older styled wooden cameras--brass and wood, not new fangled aircraft designs etc. Hey, that's just my preference, let it go at that)!!!
