In the United States, the Sonoran Desert Toad, when licked, can cause hallucinations in humans. Frogs have exceptional night vision thanks to specialized retinal cells that allow them to see blue and green colors in the dark. They perceive movement well, but their visual acuity for detail is limited compared to that of humans. This special vision, which is special in its colorfulness and blurriness, has a very psychedelic visual effect. The project 5-MeO-DMT is a visual journey animated on the one hand from the perspective of a frog moving in a pond at night and encountering another frog, which it licks and begins a psychedelic visual trip. The animations were created using an artificial intelligence trained partly with video works of visual artist SAOU TV and partly with images from night vision shots and with images of frogs. The sound was created by electronic musician Audt98, who made a musical interpretation for this project with sound recordings from nature and frog sounds.
