63 || How to read a wind rose

Wind rose is a diagram/graphical chart in which the speed and direction of the winds at a particular location are represented by lines of varying thickness and length superimposed on a compass rose. It is a graphical representation of wind velocity vector over a period of time in a polar diagram i.e. two-dimensional coordinate system (polar coordinate system) in which each point on a plane is determined by a distance from a reference point and an angle from a reference direction. Larger the spoke means more often wind blows in that direction. Longer color section indicates more often wind blows at the speed in that direction. Equal length spokes represent great variation of wind direction over a given duration. Spoke length does not represent wind speed in a given duration.
