Cooling and Dehumidification: To dehumidify air, it is typically cooled below its initial temperature using a cooling coil or other cooling equipment. This cooling is achieved by passing the air over a cold surface, where moisture in the air condenses into water droplets. The cooling process is represented as a line on the psychrometric chart, moving from the initial point to a new point. 3. Moisture Removal: As the air cools, its relative humidity increases, and moisture is removed through condensation. This results in reduced specific humidity (ω) or relative humidity (RH). 4. Temperature Adjustment: After dehumidification, the air may need to be reheated to the desired temperature. This is done to prevent overcooling and maintain comfort.
