70x50 SHOP FLOOR

To begin work on this project we started with removing this 50' ABT drain that was previously incorrectly installed by a contractor years ago. We calculated our FFL and set the laser to start the excavation process. With this drain style and the weight of equipment that will be brought in and out of shop we elected to suspend the drain and encapsulate it. We averaged 6" of concrete under the drain for added strength with additional rebar. After the drain was poured, we were able to strip the forms and continue grading the remainder of the shop floor as well as pour the slabs. This shop floor was 6" thick with a 3'x3' grid of #4 G60 rebar. ABT, INC.
