This week on Monday Marketplace, we are thinking ahead to cooler temperatures with the comfort of a shawl. “Among the Wildflowers” by Lisa K. Ross is a beautiful large triangular shawl that uses two skeins of a darker solid color and 5 mini skeins. There are kits of Emma’s Practically Perfect Sock Yarn made specifically for this pattern in the store, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t choose your own color combinations. The model is made from the Meadow kit. The others are Forget Me Not, Paper Daisy, Morning Glory, April Showers, Super Bloom, and Desert Rose. The flower stitch is repeated often in different colors throughout the shawl. There is only one color worked at a time in the row with no yarn to carry or strand.
