Couldn't sleep and not been out for ages so I decided to start stage 6 of the Saffron Trail. Catching the first train to Battlesbridge and following the river Crouch to Hullbridge before turning south into Hockley.
Fantastic views with a misty atmospheric start. Then the sun came out and it was scorchio. Bad blister developed on left foot putting an end to the trip.
A detour was necessary at Blounts Wood but it was easily resolved.
