A better way to track serving statistics
The number one mistake that Coach Nabil Mardini sees in gyms centers around how serving stats are recorded. The usual approach is to record aces vs. errors, but this is not always a good indicator of winning. Instead, he recommends awarding points based on the following outcomes: If your server causes the other team to execute a 1 pass, she earns 3 points If your server causes the other team to execute a 2 pass, she earns 2 points If your server causes the other team to execute a 3 pass, she earns 1 point If your server misses the serve, she earns 0 points By keeping stats in this way during matches and practices, you get a more accurate passing average that allows you to determine who your best server is.
