A Bit Aggro Over There, MoJo

Overzealous much? Hand of the Day No. 13! With this hand we encounter a few interesting questions... like what are we supposed to do when our partner jumps to 4S and we have a 17 count? After thinking about this hand more and discussing with some friends, I think I could have gone a slightly different route, and indicated that I was interested in slam, but wasn't *driving* to slam, which is what the 4NT bid did here. Do you know what that method would be? The method that was suggested to me was bidding 5D over 4S, now while that still might be a little too aggressive with this hand, bidding 5D allows partner to show a cuebid in hearts, and when I "sign off" in 5S regardless of whether they cuebid or not, they'll have a pretty good idea of what's in my hand! A near slam hand, that needs the right stuff from partner. It's a tough hand and definitely one worth investigating further!
