"A Man's A Man"
In "A Man's A Man" Robert Burns wrote the words to what many now consider the finest of all the Scots ballads. He wrote it in 1795 and the humanist ideals he gave voice to are still relevant today. Because his day job was working as a civil servant for the British Crown he had to initially publish the poem anonymously. He was a great supporter of both the American and French revolutions that were the first expressions of the ideals of the humanist movement. This song has been a traditional set closer for Ga Greine for most of the 10 years we've been together as a band and is now featured on our most recent album "Decade" that commemorates the decade we've played together as Ga Greine. The beautiful photos at the beginning of the video are from our graphic designer Greg Woolliscroft. He has let his artistic eye to several of our album covers and our logo.
