I believe that there is much more to being a "minimalist" than just living out of a bag and owning almost nothing. Minimalism is a way of thinking that keeps us accountable for the items we have and buy. This way of living really took over my life when I started university and no longer had enough money to buy whatever my heart desired and because of this I learnt that money and what I decide to use it on became something that I thought about carefully before buying. Do I need this? Will this item serve me longer than 2 months? And if "no" was in my mind about anything, I walk away. And this idea goes into my makeup collection. I love knowing that everything I own gets used and loved until the end,. Only owning things that you will use is the key to being a minimalist.
