In the late 1960s, hundreds of families joined poet Gary Snyder to settle on California's San Juan Ridge. Threatened by corporations intent on clear-cutting the forests, damming the Yuba River and mining for gold, the community organized. This film explores the Ridge's history through the story of the San Juan Ridge Tapestry Project, which has produced an 83-foot tapestry visualizing their story.
