Columbia Land Trust tells the story of its haul road removal project on the Klickitat River in southern Washington. For eight years, the Land Trust has worked in partnership with Yakama Nation Fisheries to remove an eight miles of haul road and road fill from along the river, restoring salmon habitat and freeing the river to flow through its historic floodplain. Stewardship Lead and project manager Lindsay Cornelius shares the story of how the waters of the Columbia River Region intertwine with her life's work, and how the landscape serves as a conduit for passing a love of the outdoors from one generation to the next.
