Today, we're going over how to convert an absolute value function into a piecewise-defined function! This is a super useful way to think about absolute values, especially later on in calculus when you learn about a concept known as a "limit". Split everything into 2 cases: 1. Everything within the bars is greater than or equal to 0 (positive). 2. Everything within the bars is less than 0 (negative). Then, simplify, and graph if needed. ⌛ Timestamps ⌛ 0:00 Reviewing absolute values 0:28 Splitting our function into piecewise segments 0:57 A more complicated example 1:30 Testing and graphing some values 🐦 Twitter 🐦 https://twitter.com/TrustyTurkey 📷 Instagram 📷 https://www.instagram.com/TrustyTurkey/
