If your ac won't turn on immediately, is not blowing cold, taking longer than usual to turn on, is humming, your energy bills are higher, or your condenser is turning off/on on its own, you may have a bad capacitor! One of the reasons that I decided to do this myself is because the past two people who worked on my condenser put the WRONG capacitor size on the unit!
