AC Electrical Circuit Analysis: Reactance

In this video we introduce the concept of reactance. Capacitors and inductors ideally do not present resistance, however, they do react to the applied current and there will be an associated voltage. The ratio of voltage to current is called the reactance, X, and is measured in ohms. Unlike resistance reactance exhibits a phase angle (+90 degrees for inductive reactance and -90 degrees for capacitive reactance). Also, reactance is a function of frequency.
