Accessibility Testing Tutorial Playwright BDD Automation | Lighthouse, Axe Chrome Extensions |

In this tutorial, we explore different approaches to Accessibility Testing for modern web applications. Accessibility testing ensures that websites are usable by people with disabilities and comply with accessibility standards such as WCAG. In this video, I demonstrate three practical methods used by QA engineers and developers to identify accessibility issues. First, we run an accessibility audit using Google Chrome Lighthouse and analyze the Lighthouse report to understand accessibility scores and common violations. Next, we use the Axe Chrome Extension, a powerful accessibility testing tool that helps detect accessibility issues directly in the browser. I also demonstrate Accessibility Insights for Web, another useful extension that provides automated checks and guided accessibility testing. Finally, we begin automating accessibility testing using Playwright and the axe-core. In this first automation example, we run a simple accessibility scan on an ecommerce demo site using Playwright and Axe.
