Accessing the victim during a tower type rescue often requires coming from the bottom of a structure and climbing up past the victim to establish anchors. This is what we refer to as a "bottom-up" style rescue versus a the traditional "top-down" style rescues taught in the majority of NFPA Rope Operations and Rope Technician courses. This video is an overview of what equipment and techniques may be needed to access the victim during a tower rescue.
