Accessioning Records
This video presents a webinar for the Accession/Deaccession module of the Eloquent Records application. It is used by the Records Center to record accessions from user departments. It links the boxes/containers to an accession record which identifies the owner/office of record, time of receipt and other details. The boxes/containers can also be linked to available spaces in the warehouse. All the information in the accession record is inherited by the boxes and by the folders within the box. It does not have to be repeated. The user department may have already recorded the detail about the folders within the boxes and even documents within the folders. If not, the records department quickly records the information. The folders are linked to the proper subject in the Classification Scheme, from which they inherit all the governance rules, such as security level, privacy, and retention durations. The video shows how the data linkages permits reporting in detail without entering and storing the same information many times and places.
