Accura AC–S Self Timer
Accura AC S Self Timer Instructions The Accura Selftimer is manufactured with the precision of a fine watch; the parts used for its mechanism are the finest available. With a minimum of care, the Accura Selftimer will give you a lifetime of service and pleasure. The Accura selftimers are made in two models; AC-S with a short shaft, DC-L with a long shaft. Both models work on virtually all popular cameras; however, the long shaft on the DC-L model makes possible its use on some model Rolleiflex cameras on which the shorter shaft fails to reach the cable release socket. The Accura Selftimer has an automatically retracting release pin which permits resetting the timer without removing it from the camera. Both model Accura Selftimers are equipped with separate Leica nipples (G) making possible their use on Leica, Canon and other cameras requiring the nipple. The nipple fits any tapered thread cable release, adapting such release for these cameras as well. The shaft of the Accura Selftimer is threaded in such a manner that it will fit virtually all Compur, Prontor, Kodak, Argus and other standard tapered and straight cable release sockets. The length of the drivepin which is to release the shutter can be delicately adjusted for smooth operation on any shutter by following these simple instructions: Turn knurled part B in a counter-clockwise direction, thereby loosening shaft A for the adjustment. By turning the shaft in a clockwise direction, the drivepin C will begin to protrude slightly. If, on initial tests, the Accura Selftimer failed to release the shutter, the drivepin C must protrude from shaft A before the operation begins. If, however, the shutter is released too soon, making it impossible for the drivepin to retract completely after having caused the release, then shaft A should be turned in a counterclockwise direction, causing the drivepin C to be recessed inside shaft A at the beginning of the operation. After the proper adjustment has been made, tighten part B by turning it in a clockwise direction. Your ACCURA Selftimer is now ready for use. Wind large knurled knob E as far as it will go, in the direction of arrow. Do not force beyond the point to which it can be moved without resistance. This gives a maximum delay of 18 seconds as seen in the window D when the timer is fully wound. The delay can be adjusted by winding until the desired delay is shown in the window. Start the timer by sliding the red release button (F) upward in the direction of the arrow. After the picture has been taken, return the release button to the stop position.
