Today I taught children to write the first letter of the English alphabet, “A for Apple,” using chalk and a slate. First, I demonstrated how to draw and write “A for Apple” on the slate. After that, I asked the children to practice it on their own slates and helped them where needed. In this way, the children learned the first letter of the English alphabet.
