Adam Saitiev attacking quad pod
This is footage from various training sessions. I've gathered a few sequences that all involve Saitiev attacking the quad pod; but also they include entries/methods of forcing an opponent to their hands. There are several themes regarding the offence from this position. 1 - Force weight on to the opponents hands, making their legs light, which enables trips, etc 2- breaking oppoennts posture, structure, and base by combining upperbody controls (e.g., front headlock, nelsons) and lower body controls (e.g., leg hooks) 3 - Create blocks behind/ in front of the opponents points of base and then pressure over the blocks to create off balances Additionally, if in fronthead lock against an opponent in quad pos, Saitiev would opt to get behind the opponents shoulders prior to attacking. As this gives him the ability to connect to both the partner hips/legs and their arms, more connections = increased ability to move the opponent.
